One More Round

Here we go
Round one wasn't what I thought it'd be
Round two I'm struggling to breath
3,4,5,6,7 times I wondered why I stepped inside this ring

I may be knocked down and so bruised
But I'm here to tell you
I may be knocked down but not for the count (1,2,3,4)

So take me one more round
I'll just keep fighting
One more round
You're messing up but I'm still here
One more round
I'll come out swinging
One more round
I'm telling you now I'm not gonna lose it here

It's so hard to get up off the floor again
But I know that victory is when
I'm pushing through the pain
That tries to feed me lies
That I won't reach the end

I may be bloodied and so bruised
But I'm here to tell you
I may be knocked down but not for the count
(1,2,3,4)

So take me one more round
I'll just keep fighting
One more round
You're messing me up but I'm still here
One more round
I'll come out swinging
One more round
I'm telling you now I'm not gonna lose it

I am not defeated
Though you cannot see it
I have never won a battle on my own
I find strength in weakness
I find hope believing
God is for me who can bring me down?

So take me one more round
I'll just keep fighting
One more round
You're messing me up, Oh, but I'm still here
One more round
I'll come out swinging
One more round
I'm telling you now I'm not gonna lose it here

Dancing With the Angels

Recently a past principal of my school lost his battle with cancer. As I thought about it, this song instantly filled my mind. So here's Dancing with the Angels; in memory of Les Duncan.

Dancing with the Angels
Monk and Neagle

Memories surround me
But sadness has found me
I’d do anything for more time
Never before has someone meant more
And I can’t get you out of my mind
There is so much that I don’t understand
But I know…

Chorus
You’re dancing with the angels
Walking in new life
You’re dancing with the angels
Heaven fills your eyes
Now that you’re dancing with the angels

You had love for your family
Love for all people
Love for the Father, and Son
Your heart will be heard In your unspoken words
Through generations to come
There is so much that I don’t understand
But I know

Chorus

Bridge
We’re only here for such a short time
So I’m gonna’ stand up, shout out,And sing Hallelujah
One day I’ll see you again

Chorus

21st Time

Okay...so I just recently heard this song on the radio and immediately fell in love with it! It has such a strong message.

Twenty-First Time
By Monk and Neagle

Nowhere to live
Nowhere to fall
He used to have money
But he’s wasted it all
His face is a photograph burned in mind
But I pretend not to see him for the twenty-first time
He sleeps under stars, it’s all he can afford
His blanket’s an old coat he’s had since the war
He stands on the corner of Carter and Vine
But I pretend not to see him for the twenty-first time

He may be a drifter who’s grown old and gray
But what if it’s Jesus and I walk away
I say I’m the body and drink of the wine
But I pretend not to see him for the twenty-first time

She’s 29 but she feels 48
She can’t raise three kids on minimum wage
She’s crying in back of the welfare line
But I pretend not to see her for the twenty-first time

She may be a stranger trying to get through the day
But what if it’s Jesus and I walk away
I say I’m the body and drink of the wine
But I pretend not to see her for the twenty-first time

This is a call for a change in my heart
I realize that I’ve not been doing my part
When I needed a Savior, I found it in Him
He gave to me, now I’ll give back to them

Drifter or stranger, daughter or son
I’ll look for Jesus in everyone
‘Cause I am the body and drink of the wine
And I’m thankful there’s more than the twenty-first time

History

At Meadow Heights and the launch of the AV site I feel like we are making History. As I visited the site back near Thanksgiving this song instantly filled my mind. So here's History by Matthew West.

HISTORY
Matthew West

It's been a bad day

You've been looking back

And all you can see is everything

you wish you could take back

All your mistakes

A world of regrets

All of those moments

you would rather forget

I know it's hard to believe

Let me refresh your memory

CHORUS

Yesterday is history

And history is miles away

So, leave it all behind you

But let it always remind you of the day

The day that love made history

You know you can't stay

right where you fell

The hardest part is forgiving yourself

But let's take a walk into today

And don't let your past get in the way

Yesterday is history
And history is miles away
So, leave it all behind you
But let it always remind you of the day
The day that love made history

Would you believe that you are history in the making, in the making?

Every choice that you are making

Every step that you are taking

Every chain that you are breaking

History is in the making

Every word that you are saying

Every prayer that you are praying

Every chain that you are breaking

History is in the making

History is in the making

History is in the making

Underdog

Okay...so this song is for anyone out there who has ever felt small, like your never going to make a difference, or are constantly hearing your never going to amount to anything ...your time is coming...so be proud....UNDERDOG!!!!!

Underdog
By: The Jonas Brothers

She's an underdog,
Lives next door to me
She always heard, "You won't amount to anything."
And it kills me to watch the agony behind her eyes
Tragic the way people pass her by
But now I realize

Everyone sees her but nobody knows her
She screams in her pillow for a better tomorrow
She hates, she fakes it,
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

She's original
Never trying to fit in
She's got a way to always go
Against the grain
Oh yea!
Someday they'll see how beautiful she really is
I know that the last will be the first
The table is gonna turn cause...

Everyone sees her
But nobody knows her
She screams in the pillow
For a better tomorrow
She hates it
But she takes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

Maybe she'll be in a movie
Maybe she'll be in a song
Better pay her some attention before she's gone

Everyone sees her
But nobody knows her
She screams in the pillow
For a better tomorrow
She hates it
But she takes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

Everyone sees her
But nobody knows her
She screams in the pillow
For a better tomorrow
She hates it
But she takes it
Watch out for that girl
One day she may change the world

How Ironic

How funny life is sometimes. As I created this blog and was writing my DEAR READER note off to the side there something on the television caught my attention. My younger sister was watching a Disney channel show. On it the girl wants to play country fiddle but her mother wants her to play classical violin. She finally tells her mother and says, "There are many different ways to play. Music is to express yourself." How amazing that, that would come up at exactly the same time as I was writing all of this. So believe it. MUSIC CAN BE PLAYED MANY DIFFERENT WAYS, IN MANY DIFFERENT STYLES. THEY ALL ARE MEANT FOR THE SAME PURPOSE; EXPRESSING YOURSELF.

Hello!

Alright, so on my other blog I've been posting a lot about music and its taking up most of my posts so I decided to give it, its own blog. So all those songs that are inspirational, funny, uplifting, or just amazing in their own way are going to posted on here.
Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. ~Victor Hugo
